Though we host several fundraising events a year, we are a membership based organization at our core.
The money our members donate annually goes directly to Big Bend Ranch State Park to provide support for interpretative programs, trail maintenance and enhance the overall visitor experience. To fulfill our mission we need YOU to join us and become a FRIEND!
What is the money used for?
- Park maps! We provide the park with the maps you get when you check in!
- Garmin InReach support for park staff (because BBRSP is an unpredictable place)
- Scholarships for the student docent at Fort Leaton
- Supplies for park interpretative events
- Park signage
Most importantly, we’re here for whatever the park needs. New to our budget in 2025 are giant white boards to project the park map on to aid in search and rescue efforts!
Membership Levels
Fresno – $50 annually
Madrid – $100 annually
Rincon – $250 annually
Solitario – $1,000 annually
What do the different levels get you? Nothing! …other than the satisfaction of knowing you’re supporting the biggest (and BEST) state park in Texas!
